Sunita Sahu, a housewife from a small village near Jhansi, embraced the opportunity to become financially independent through our Youth Entrepreneurship Program in 2020. Focused on acquiring advanced tailoring skills, she quickly turned her newfound expertise into a business venture.
Sunita’s impact extended beyond personal success. She utilized the self-help group platform to facilitate microloans of 5000 INR for other women in the village, empowering them to start their own businesses. Sunita also took on the role of a mentor, providing training to other girls and women, passing on her skills and knowledge.
Now, with the earnings from her tailoring business, Sunita has reinvested in a small general store at her residence. Her entrepreneurial journey continues as she envisions the establishment of an ‘aata chakki’ in her community.
Sunita Sahu’s success story serves as a testament to the transformative impact of our Youth Entrepreneurship Program. By providing skills, knowledge, and a supportive community, we have empowered individuals like Sunita to not only achieve financial independence but also become catalysts for positive change in their communities.
